Who we are

TRIPLE C'S: Chicagoland Community Connectors & Violence Interrupters, NFP
Making a Difference, One Life at a Time.

At Triple C’s, we are more than an organization—we are a movement dedicated to transforming our communities. As Violence Interrupters or “Credible Messengers,” we leverage the power of relationship-building and lived experience to de-escalate situations that could otherwise escalate into violence. Our team is made up of individuals who know the struggles of our communities firsthand, and we use our unique insight to prevent violence before it starts.

Our mission is clear: to build peace, spread hope, and inspire lasting change. Through our efforts, we aim to create safer, stronger neighborhoods by promoting positive behavior and empowering individuals to choose peaceful solutions.

“A Positive Mindset, Promotes Positive Behavior.”

Our Philosophy

“We envision a Chicagoland where every individual feels safe, valued, and supported—a community where violence is replaced with hope, and justice-involved individuals are welcomed back with dignity. In this vision, neighborhoods are connected and compassionate, and everyone has the opportunity to live, work, and thrive without fear.”

“Chicago-land Community Connectors works to prevent violence and support successful reentry through community engagement, restorative programs, and access to critical resources. We empower individuals—especially those impacted by the justice system—to rebuild their lives, strengthen their neighborhoods, and help create safer, more resilient communities for all.”

🔹 “Restoring Lives. Rebuilding Communities.”
🔹 “From Reentry to Resilience.”
🔹 “Safe Streets, Stronger Futures.”

“POSITIVE MINDSET PROMOTES POSITIVE BEHAVIOR”

Triple C’s Mission

The mission of Chicagoland Community Connectors & Violence Interrupters is to break the cycle of violence and crime across Chicago and Lake County by actively engaging communities in their own healing, safety, and progress.

We serve as a bridge to vital resources and services that address evolving community needs—promoting actions that build unity, foster individual strengths, and enhance collective responsibility.

Through initiatives like real-world job training, hunger relief, youth support, and reintegration assistance for formerly incarcerated individuals, we aim to create safer neighborhoods, reduce recidivism, and empower every resident to thrive.

Triple C’s Vision

The founders of Triple C’s have triumphed over some of life’s most challenging barriers—homelessness, incarceration, single parenting, domestic violence, mental health struggles, street violence, and moments of hopelessness. Yet through every trial and tribulation, we have not only survived, we have prevailed.

Our strength comes from deep community ties and a powerful vision—a vision to be better today than we were yesterday. A vision to show others that they too can rise above any obstacle. A vision to teach the youth that a positive mindset promotes positive behavior—and that any dream is possible when:

  1. You believe in yourself, and

  2. You know someone believes in YOU.

At Triple C’s, we believe in YOU.

We believe in the power of self-love, truth, and community. We believe that being honest with your comrades cultivates peace within yourself and your neighborhood. We believe that your mindset is the foundation of your freedom—because true freedom begins in the mind.

And above all, we believe that living righteously and lifting up your neighbor is the greatest form of justice there is.

Triple C’s Violence Interrupters
Building Peace. Restoring Hope. Saving Lives.

Our Violence Interrupters are frontline community outreach workers trained in de-escalation and peacebuilding strategies. Many are respected, credible messengers—individuals who have transformed their lives and are now committed to guiding others away from cycles of violence.

They work directly in neighborhoods impacted by gun violence and conflict, using their lived experience and deep community ties to mediate disputes, prevent retaliation, and promote nonviolent solutions. Through direct engagement, mentoring, and spreading anti-violence messaging, they serve as a bridge to resources, healing, and hope.

Triple C's Violence Interrupters are not just preventing violence—they're changing lives and reshaping communities from within.

Triple C’s Programs

Triple C’s programs are community-based initiatives that work to prevent violence by:

  • Identifying and changing the behavior of people who are most likely to be involved in violence

  • Connecting people at risk to social services

  • Reshaping norms around using guns

  • Deescalating disputes before they escalate into violence
